SIGNED A CAPITAL INCREASE THAT BRINGS US INTO THE INVESTMENT PORTFOLIO OF THE “CYSERO” VENTURE CAPITAL FUND, SET UP TO SUPPORT INNOVATIVE SMES IN THE FIELDS OF ROBOTICS AND CYBERSECURITY
In the space of two and a half years, we are helping to rewrite the history of world robotics. And to say it all started in a small garage in Vittoria! Finally REIWA Engine debuts among the world's Clean Tech bigwigs. The CYSERO EuVECA fund, jointly promoted by AVM Gestioni SGR S.p.a. and Kilometro Rosso, one of the main European innovation clusters created to finance courageous start-ups and innovative SMEs with a marked propensity to intercept and interpret both the digital and ecological transitions of our Country, is betting on us, underwriting a substantial capital increase.
All this, as well as being a great opportunity, represents for us an important attestation of esteem coming from one of the most prestigious places of research and enterprise, namely the Kilometro Rosso science park. A reality, led in a praiseworthy manner by its president Alberto Bombassei, which has been able to bet on the strength of proximity and the value of aggregation with large companies (from Brembo to Radici), hundreds of medium-sized enterprises and a myriad of small companies together to face international competition.
A NEW CHAPTER TO BE WRITTEN
The investment of the Cysero fund will support and finance REIWA Engine's growth plan, enhancing its industrialisation path and accompanying its development strategy in international markets. Thanks to this partnership, we have perfected an industrial axis with three nodes - Kilometro Rosso, Enel Green Power, REIWA Engine - which in short will allow us to develop increasingly high-standard tech solutions to be supplied to our main stakeholders, while also attracting new ones.
THE COMPANY'S NEW BOARD OF DIRECTORS
REIWA Engine is proud of the milestone it has reached and proud to have as a member of the BoD Eng. Salvatore Majorana, Director of Kilometro Rosso, a Sicilian like the founders of Reiwa and a prominent personality in the field of innovation technology, with decades of experience in the management of Italian and international centres of excellence. The new shareholder will immediately represent the engine of ignition and acceleration of our project. And still on the subject of our Board of Directors, we are pleased to announce that Salvo Salerno has been unanimously appointed Chairman. By the express wish of the fund itself, to give continuity to the project, rewarding the results achieved so far, Salerno will also take on the role of CEO, while Salvatore Occhipinti has been confirmed as CTO at the head of the Technical Department.
THE FUTURE
The business plan that we have approved is very ambitious, but despite the thousands of challenges that await us in the near future, there is one that excites the entire team more than any other: the expansion of the Sicilian office in Comiso. Even though we are finalising agreements to set up two new foreign offices with business entities in the United Arab Emirates and Brazil, we have decided to maintain our Sicilian office. A strongly shared desire between founder and investor. We will try to strengthen it thanks to a staff expansion programme, and we hope that it will soon become a pole of attraction for the best talents of our territory to the benefit of the entire economic fabric of our island.
