REIWA ENGINE IS BORN, THE SICILIAN START-UP THAT INNOVATES IN THE FIELD OF ROBOTICS AND INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION
Reiwa Engine is not only a start-up: it is an ambitious and courageous project of "Collateral Technology". And it is also a dream, that of a group of young Sicilians, engineers and marketing experts, able to make a difference in the field of robotics and industrial automation, the great excellence made in Italy. Reiwa in Japanese means rebirth. «And it’s just a rebirth that we had in mind when we decided to found our start-up» explains CEO Salvatore Occhipinti. «We came from different but contiguous experiences: those who had already designed machinery for industrial automation and advanced video surveillance and those who had proposed and placed them on the international markets. Our skills were perfectly intertwined and we shared the desire to impose our idea of the future and technology. We decided to do it with a reality of our own that symbolized, precisely as a rebirth, our new professional and personal beginning. This is how the start-up Reiwa Engine was born. And it was born in Sicily, our land, because we want to grow together with her».
REIWA ENGINE BRIEF HISTORY
Reiwa Engine is a young and promising start-up, born only in 2019, but with a wealth of skills and experiences on the shoulders of the founders. «Although we can now count on a prestigious headquarters and a large prototyping laboratory with testing area and advanced machinery, like many other innovative start-ups, ours was born in a garage» continue Salvatore Occhipinti. «We have paused our lives, left our respective uses and bet our entire future on an innovative and revolutionary product, Sandstorm, a unique robot in the world, able to automate and optimize the cleaning of photovoltaic systems. This product, which has already won the interest of Enel Green Power, was born from our skills, of course, but also from the plus that we are able to put in the field: the lateral thinking applied to technology, thinking outside the box, the recklessness, ambition and the ability to always find a solution that is not obvious and therefore more effective. It is not for nothing that our motto is Collateral Technology».
THE HI-TECH WE LIKE
Sandstorm is just one of many projects in the pipeline, the first one. Other projects are already on paper, and still others in prototyping labs. «We intend to give life in the coming years to all the "Hi Tech dreams" and to those that will be born from our passion, from creativity and knowledge of markets and the needs of customers who decide to rely on us or investors who choose to believe in our products and help us to industrialize them. The main areas of specialization, those in which Reiwa Engine can make a difference, are robotics applied to industrial plants with the aim of automating processes and making them more efficient and evolved video surveillance, in key 4.0, based on artificial intelligence systems». These sectors are the main excellence of Made in Italy engineering. Italian robotics is known and appreciated all over the world and many of the interactional discoveries on this front were born from the laboratories of our universities. Not to mention the industrial automation sector based on robotics: here Italy plays a fundamental role thanks to its great mechanical and manufacturing tradition.
ROBOTICS, OUR STRONG SUIT
Sandstorm, the first project of Reiwa Engine, is also one of the most representative because its technology for clean tech made in Italy, designed to automate the cleaning of photovoltaic systems, touches all the various fields of action of the team skills. «It is a small masterpiece of computer and mechanical engineering that thanks to the principles of artificial intelligence manages to overcome all the limits of its competitors in the field of photovoltaic plant cleaning. We took care of every detail, including design, handling, maintenance, ease of transport and storage. In short, we have created a product ready for the market that is just waiting to be industrialized. Because this is our idea of robotics: revolutionary but practical and functional products to really simplify industrial processes and, at the same time, reduce environmental impact and waste».
VIDEO SURVEILLANCE YES, BUT EVOLVED
The team of Reiwa Engine comes in part from the world of video surveillance which is therefore another of its areas of excellence. «Our work experience is based on the design and implementation of advanced video surveillance systems. It is an area in which we can already count on extensive experience despite our young age because we know every aspect and implication. The projects that we have in the pipeline on this issue, and that we will soon present to the market and investors, are intended to innovate and make more efficient systems and plants that still show several limitations. We will do it with the application of artificial intelligence and the insights and solutions of our "collateral technology"».
