Reiwa Engine gets special mention of Unicredit Start Lab for the Clean Tech industry

The program of Unicredit for the acceleration of start-ups has awarded the only Sicilian participant with the special mention. The revolutionary robot Sandstorm, the technology of Reiwa Engine for the clean tech sector, won the prestigious commission

Reiwa Engine received the special mention for the Clean Tech sector at the Unicredit Start Lab, the acceleration program for start-ups with innovative and hi-tech projects. And now new roads and new opportunities for the young Sicilian start-up are opening up. «We are proud and happy to have reached this milestone: we consider it an extra incentive to reach many others» declares Salvatore Occhipinti, CEO & Founder of Reiwa Engine. «Thanks to the expertise of the Unicredit Start Lab team, we can deepen our knowledge of the relevant market, the big players in green energy and the producers of photovoltaic parks, and add many more pieces to our business plan. Our aim now is to industrialize and market the Sandstorm robot, the patented robotic technology to optimize, innovate and automate the cleaning of photovoltaic panels and counteract the soiling effect».

Sandstorm looking for investors

Thanks to the participation in the Start Lab and the special mention, Reiwa Engine can now access the Startup Academy and the coaching and management training program organized by the UniCredit team. It can also attend Business Meetings with UniCredit Corporate clients and with potential investors.

The project was presented to a prestigious committee on 1 July.
